Your email address

This page covers the waitlist only. Metral has no product, accounts or analytics yet, so the waitlist is the single piece of personal data we hold.

What we collect

Your email address, the time you submitted it, and where the visit came from — a utm_source tag on the link you followed, or the site that linked you. We also store the browser user-agent string your browser sends with the request. We do not store your IP address.

Why

To email you once, when Metral opens up. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share the list, and there is no newsletter attached to it. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form.

Where it is kept, and for how long

In a Postgres database hosted by Neon in London. We keep your address until we launch and send that email, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. Once the waitlist has been used, it is deleted.

Being removed

Email hello@metral.co.uk and we will delete your address and confirm it. You do not need to give a reason. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
